Visit Fairwind XPS is the result of cooperation with French Skydiving Federation involving Parasport Italia since 2014 to develop a specific standard for skydiving helmets.

After 4 years of prototype development, laboratory tests and parameter modifications, the study group verified the Fairwind prototypes and finalized the specifications, named XP S 72-600 . Although this is a specific standard for France, it is destined to become a European standard in the near future. Nevertheless, it is the first one designed specifically for skydiving and indoor flying.

What do all these numbers and codes mean? The specifications for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and skydiving/indoor helmets contain many technical details, but quickly and easily, the specifications set standards for the safety of the user of these products. The rules involve:

Visit Fairwind XPS played a key role in the development and testing of the specific requirements, and complies with all project objectives. The design includes an EPS layer for impact protection. This layer includes ventilation channels, so even in hot weather, the Fairwind XPS can be worn for longer. Well-designed grilles prevent objects from entering the ventilation channels. The hypoallergenic lining can be easily removed for cleaning or replaced when worn. It can also be used to define one of the 4 available sizes. The upper part of the lining can be rotated, keeping the ventilation holes open or closed, depending on the air temperature. Ear pads are designed to accommodate audibles from the inside, without interfering with helmet comfort. A comfortable chin guard offers extra comfort when the chinstrap is fastened. The quick-release buckle can be easily opened with one hand, even under tension.
