Our JYRO RDS (Removable Deployment System) is available with our high-performance canopies.
The RDS is the result of a collaboration with ParaConcepts and is based on their design, which we preferred to all the others we tried. It comes with hardware custom-designed by JYRO.
This is a system that allows you to remove the slider, deployment bag and reserve parachute after opening. It reduces drag, allowing your Icarus glider to go faster and fly longer. The RDS is compatible with both terminal and sub-terminal openings, and when used correctly has a low malfunction rate.
You can use the RDS as a removable slider, without connecting the deployment system.
JYRO's RDS is available for JFX 2, Leia, SLeia, Sofia and Petra sails, as well as for older JVX, JFX, FX and VX sails.
