In construction, the word Sigma means a "Recapitulation" or "An Answer" to a problem. UPT chose to call its new tandem "Sigma" because it represents an answer to everything UPT has learned about the tandem and the people who have used it since 1984. Unlike other tandems where the RSE is simply attached to a known system, the Sigma has been built from the ground up as an already open system. Everything in its design is a response to every container-related problem we've observed.
