The X-Fire is completely redesigned to excel in all the areas you care about: openings, harness handling, swwop and packing, while remaining your everyday sail.

X-Fire openings are smooth and consistent as always. Thanks to the application of our recently launched Shape Correlation for Input Distribution (SCID) in the S-Fire and TX2 models, the result is smooth openings. At terminal speeds, the X-Fire takes between 800 and 900 feet to give you that perfect opening every time. And the best part? It doesn't need to be meticulously folded! This glider is all about giving you smooth openings.
The X-Fire has adopted the Schformann Planform (elliptical on the leading edge and less so on the trailing edge), which provides great lift and responsiveness, which explains its use in paragliders, speed wings and other high-performance wings. When this shape is adopted, stall speed is reduced, so you can go further than with the Crossfire 2. This is also why the X-Fire requires a minimum experience of 400 total jumps and 200 jumps per year. However, at this level of responsiveness and performance, 800 jumps is what we believe to be the benchmark for truly experiencing the caliber of performance the X-Fire can offer.

The X-Fire is head and shoulders above the Crossfire 2 when it comes to harness piloting. As a result, flying with just the leg straps is easy. The recovery arc has been lengthened, but remains weaker than on a cross-braced glider. It requires little effort to land at the back.
