The mechanical altimeter manufactured by Parasport has been redesigned, retaining the same robust, affordable and accurate mechanism. Calibrated to 6,000 m (19,000 ft), with a compensated aneroid capsule, the Aeronaut gives accurate readings throughout its operating range.<\/p>\n
The new case is now made entirely of aluminum, and its round 55 mm (2\"1\/4) diameter, with a thickness of just 21 mm (3\/4\"), makes it very compact. The Aeronaut is also water-resistant.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The new mounts, with steel brackets, are very easy to replace and highly reliable. The orientation can be interchanged, so that the same instrument can be hand- or wrist-mounted simply by changing the holder.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The new dial design makes reading altitudes quick and easy, just with a quick glance.
